Adjustable Screed Rail System for Concrete Blinding

The NEW Acra Screed Blinding Plate

Acra Screed are all about simple but precision products and what could be more important than getting the very first layer of concrete - the Blinding layer - right.

Having an accurate Blinding layer transfers through into the rest of the project and makes the steel fixing so much easier and comfortable to work from.

This very simple system use’s our standard Rail supports, the galvanised plate sits directly onto the compacted stone and can be adjusted to suit the depth required. The diameter of the plate relates directly to the depth of the concrete blinding been poured. The Blinding Plate video shows how the system is set up. For added stability we suggest that you place a shovel of concrete over each one of the blinding plates when the first truck arrives.

There are 2 types of rail supports which can be adjusted to be millimetre perfect; the Single rail support and the Double rail support which is used to overlap where two rails meet - A standard rail is 6 meters long. Three different sized rails can be used: 50x8mm, 40x8mm and a 30x12mm all of which come in 6 meter lengths but can easily be cut to suit if required.

The rails are taken out of the concrete after it has been levelled, while the concrete is still wet. The rails can be quickly cleaned with water and reused in future concrete pours. If ordering the Blinding and the Acra Screed Base Block system for the main slab then we suggest you use the rail that best suits the cover of the top reinforcement layer on the main slab.
